started off at ICA, assembled there, there was not enough space, so the guys being gentlemen, decided to give the seat to the ladies, and sent outside to sit instead. had a very good daimuku, and gongyo. hit full attendence right before we started doing gongyo, but they forgot to annouce it, announced the other groups that hit full attendence, but missed us. T.T...
Eugene and Si kang sang for us a few songs in the bus. had so much chocolate that i was so thristy, there was not a drop of water on the bus.
had to clear a customs thingy before getting into show village. as usual, our group did have enough seats at where we were supposed to sit, so as usual, the guys let the girls have a sit first before we guys took a seat at the other rows beside.
had so much fun before going to the platform, yan deng apparently found some short girl with a high pitch voice who wanted to find yan xiong, conincidentally his brother. apparently she is some girl he met in audition who was in the fountain of hope item, the one with cymbals. and then yan deng kept doing some imitation of her and pissing of his bro, made everybody laughing like crazy.
si kang brought alot of food, bee hoon, curry, salad, etc, all hand made. everybody ate, so much that we only needed 30 packets of kfc, even after everybody ate, there was still so much left. and he was trying to finish all of it, first time i actually felt full after eating there. i feel so sorry for not being able to help him much since i and i believe everybody else was also sooooo full. feel so bad for not trying to help him more.
then took more and more and more pictures, i think i am finally getting the hang off taking pictures especially with people girls like those in my group, probally took a hundred picures each.
had to do make up, i am still not used to closing my eyes without squinting them , even after doing it alot of times for chingay, especially knowing that sombody is poking it with make up.
drank so much water, around 12 cups in total. was like "its so hot in here, lets go get a cup of water" "hey look, water!" and without knowing, i finished sth like 12 cups by the time we were forming up to leave show village.
waiting to run in, s000000000 nervous!!!!!! the last time we are ever going to go into the platform to perfrom that dance. 2 mins before going in, she sent me an sms! lifted my spirit SO HIGH! smiled throughout the performance, made the performance so memorable ...
the performance went brilliantly! all the steps came naturally, all the 4+ months of hard work finally paid off! from what i saw, everything went briliantly.
while walking along the small floating bridge at right at the left hand side of the platform where we exited by, the bridge was damn shaky for some reason, its normally very stable. less the half way through suddenly out of the blue karen grabbed my arm, scared me lah. somthing about the bridge being too shaky. lucky her nails were short so it was still ok, if it was shoun i would have bled to death if i didnt first die of shock and even if i survived, i would probaly be left with one limb short of four.
went back to the holding area, yan xiong and joey were on the verge of crying. yan xiong did one of the steps wronglt, didnt make a full turn, and he is normally cool, emotionless guy, and he was there, almost about to cry. this is a reflection of how much effort everbody had put into this one performance, how everybody worked so hard to make this a success that even if nobody made a mistake, you will still feel so sore for making the smallest of mistakes, how everbody wants so badly for it to turn out perfectly and without even the slighest of mistake which would make it short of perfect.
went back in to the platform again for the grand finale. had to go in without the light clapper thing, because even though they brought us new ones, there were still about 3 that were not working and they didnt brinf enough to start with. managed to get one at first, but gave it to either karen or cheryl.
after the grand finale dance, the fireworks can be decribed with 3 letters, O-M-G!!!!!!!!! they were soooo ccccccccoooooooooooolllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kept going off one after another, and they kept getting better, the view of the main fireworks from across the river at the marina bay IR site were simly stunning, but the ones at the three buildings at the CBD were mostly out of my line of view and 1 of them was obstructed from where we were standing, but then again, those were not that nice to start wih anyway. a nice trade off for a better view of the larger fireworks. and the fireworks were way way way better then the lousy stuff they have been giving us for the pass month with the NE shows and preview. i suppose this can be considered a small bonus for all that we have been through. the best one was of course the ones at the "we are singapore one" they just kept exploding at that area and the sparks just kept raining and rain down below, like a golden curtain closing upon the great floating stage on the water...
got back quite early, around 11+ only. got alot of people asking me how the performance went when i got back, mostly sent when i was already at the platform. so touched.
was so HIGH! kept spaming everything i could find, class blog, msn nick, pm, etc. WOOT! starting to miss B1... ...
i swear to join ndp again next year, if not as a participant then as a logistic or administration group. best will be if they ask me to join as TRAINER! that would really ROCK!
one thing is for sure, that would not be the last time i go to the floating platform @ Marina Bay, just like how this year would not be the last time i perform along orchard road.
